CAT 6 :Is google making us stupid

I believe the internet and technology are half way responsible for making people stupid but people are also responsible for a great dependency  on technology . In the article The Shallow: What the Internet Is doing to our Brains by Nicholas Carr. He basically goes into an idea that technology is bad for the human brain. He first goes into a talk about how Google is bad for us because of its conveniences. Also that people don’t really pick up information because of  brain  and thoughts being so comfortable that we don’t use concentration enough .Lack of concentration comes from  our abilities  not being executed  right, we begin losing  the idea of  deep thinking  and having a calm and attentive mind. He also thinks, that where too distracted that why we retain less understand, remember less, and learn less.

To be honest speaking from my point of view, before I had a cell phone I could remember cell numbers and house number from beginning to end. Basically now it’s hard to remember any number sometimes I forget  area code numbers ,but thanks to my phone I don’t have to remember anything. One time I lost my phone and I lost all the information for my phone, it took pretty long to find and retrieve all the missing numbers and Aol instant massagers friends. My point is that information can’t be retain because can’t even get the simplest thing like numbers down so how are going to physic? Also another Example is that people when their texting they use their phones so much they begin to start texting people on their phone the same they would for write an essay or professional job. My little cousin who’s in the fourth grade doesn’t even write paragraphs from scratch anymore at school, but she has type up a paragraph on the computer because her teachers think it easier for kids to write on a computer or laptop.

People aren’t the ones to blame it’s an half and half with text knowledge. Most genius do not spend with computer texting each other or usually watching television. Most Genius are usually more touch with nature  or reading  book about Philosophy and different studies of interested .People are going a everlasting cycle of laziness thanks to technology but  technology can only teach up so much. People aren’t into hard work and dedication anymore. My generation is known for being the most suave with the computer but was also the first generation to have a short life span then is previous ancestors, is it our lack of laziness or lack of dependency on technology or some strange combination.

To conclude Google and technology aren’t solely responsible for people getting dumb but were also responds able for making ourselves dumb. Like earlier in passage I said I believe the internet and technology are half way responsible for making people stupid but people are also responsible for a great dependency  on technology. We evolved enough to make technology but were devolving in intelligent due to the lack of retaining information and pure unadulterated laziness.
